PODi, the Digital Printing Initiative is an organization that helps set strategic direction in the digital print industry.
PODi members include print and marketing service providers, enterprise marketers, and software and hardware system manufacturers, and they represent all aspects of the digital printing ecosystem. PODi assists members in incorporating cutting-edge digital technologies into business marketing, information technology, and management initiatives.
EFI, Canon, HP, Kodak, PageFlex, Xerox, and XMPie are among the members. These and many other members have collaborated on the development of the PPML variable data language, as well as the development of digital print standards in general, all around the world
PODi has the world’s largest collection of digital print case studies (over 500). The AppForum, the company’s annual conference, is the only independent thought leadership event dedicated solely to the digital printing business. AppForum has provided a unique platform for the digital printing community to come together and learn from people who are actually succeeding with variable data printing, print on demand, relevant marketing, cross-media, web-to-print, QR Codes, augmented reality, and all the latest applications since the first event in 2002.
PODi also organizes educational webinars throughout the year and provides an ever-expanding toolkit of tools and training for the process of selling new, more profitable apps.
Caslon is in charge of PODi throughout North America and globally. Other affiliates are in charge of communities in the UK and Europe. All firms that operate a digital printing press, employ digital printing as a key element of their marketing activities, support the industry, or are passionate about the prospects and applications that digital printing is bringing to the future of relevant marketing are welcome to join.
